Hello! My name is Sejal Dua and I’m a data scientist.

I grew up in and was raised in a very sports-oriented household, with SportsCenter on around the clock. I never thought I’d work in sports, because what I actually loved was science, math, data, and building things. That’s why the site looks like a lab notebook.

I graduated from Tufts in 2021 with degrees in data science and biomedical engineering, and I got a master’s in analytics from Georgia Tech. I worked at IBM, then at Nike from 2021 to 2023. Since 2023 I’ve been at the NBA League Office, leading the optimization of the NBA and WNBA schedules. I somehow got wildly lucky and stumbled into a career at the intersection of sports and data.

Some of my hobbies outside of work include , nerdy rabbit holes (I once memorized because I'm a huge nerd), and before consuming them (my favorite fruit is a ).
